LAND MATTER[S]
Treasure of Roots- collective exhibition

Treasure of Roots is a site-specific continuation of the Amber Grain Embroidery textile project, grown in collaboration with the land, traditions, and materials of southern Austria. It explores the relationship between seasonality, place, and heritage through the lens of bio-textile creation and natural dyes.
Rooted in both literal and metaphorical interpretations of roots, the work reflects an ongoing investigation into growing textiles using local seeds, working with natural plant pigments, and applying traditional techniques.
The materials—wool, plant dyes, and hand-crafted textiles—serve as vessels of memory, anchoring contemporary practice in the agricultural and ancestral rhythms of the land.
This project continues my exploration of Slovak folklore while opening a new chapter connected to the Styrian landscape. It reflects the exchange between two regions, different materials, and generations of makers. Together, these works reflect a connection to place, memory, and change — a true Treasure of Roots.
