During June and July, I spent two months on a research residency in Milan, supported by the Visegrad Fund. This time was dedicated to exploring Italian fashion heritage, knitwear craftsmanship, and material innovation through archive visits, academic research, and immersion in the local culture.

As part of the program at Accademia Costume & Moda, I attended lectures, exhibitions, and the Graduate Creative Knitwear Design Show at Fondazione Sozzani. Milan's rich art and design ecosystem provided endless inspiration, with research visits to key cultural institutions including Fondazione Prada, Armani/Silos, and MUDEC.

My exploration of Milan's textile culture extended beyond gallery spaces into local yarn shops, fashion archives at the Milano Fashion Library, and dedicated literature on Italian knitwear traditions including research on Missoni at Biblioteca Fiamma Lanzara in Rome.

This residency has been an immensely inspiring journey, allowing me to deepen the connections between traditional craftsmanship, material innovation, and the future of sustainable fashion.
