Look 1 | Sprout

Materials: knitted hand-spun wool, crochet cotton yarns, inherited linen fabrics woven by my great-grandmother, roots embroideries

Natural pigments: indigo and tansy

Inspired by the plant cycle, and this green look represents the sprout stage.
I'm always drawn to experimenting with different structures, exploring new combinations, and observing how they communicate with each other. Roots, linen, and wool form the foundation of this piece. I especially love working with handspun yarns of varying thickness—such a simple knitting technique can look completely different depending on the yarn.
When I discover a new skill that excites me, I tend to dive in headfirst so I knitted the whole skirt. The green was dyed with indigo and tansy.

Corset made in collaboration with Klara Malo.
