AMBER GRAIN | Zlin Design Week Fashion Show

I presented my collection at the Fashion Show during Zlin Design Week 25.

I showcased my ever-evolving Amber Grain project - a speculative fashion collection that merges biodesign, traditional craftsmanship, and emerging technologies. This series of seven looks - including two menswear designs - is the result of ongoing research into textile sustainability and biocreation.

The collection pays tribute to natural cycles, artisanal heritage, and the pursuit of new approaches in fashion - approaches that quite literally grow from the earth.

The event organizers thoughtfully created space for the audience to explore the behind-the-scenes of each designer's creative process. You can find more about my work through the dedicated designer portfolio here

The Legacy of Folklore and Craft

The garments are inspired by traditional costumes and embroidery — including those worn at harvest festivals. The designer offers a contemporary, personal perspective while honoring their original symbolism.

Just as roots intertwine with soil, root-embroidered textiles grow through fabrics tied to a traditional way of life — including felt, linen, and cotton. The collection highlights the forgotten value of patience, care, and slow processes, fundamental both in nature and in craftsmanship.
